Course Description

This qualification reflects the role of individuals who apply advanced knowledge and skills in a range of strategic leadership and management roles.

Individuals at this level make high level autonomous decisions and use initiative and judgement to plan and implement a range of leadership and management functions in varied contexts. They have full responsibility and accountability for personal outputs and for the work or function of others.

They use cognitive and creative skills to review, critically analyse, consolidate and synthesise knowledge, in order to generate ideas and provide solutions to complex problems. They use communication skills to demonstrate their understanding of theoretical concepts and to transfer knowledge and ideas to others.

Pathways from the qualification

After completing the BSB80320 Graduate Diploma of Strategic Leadership, students may articulate to continue their studies in Master Degree programs offered by Australian Higher Education providers.

Entry Requirement

  • At least 18 years old at the time of course commencement.

*If you are under 18 and wish to apply for this course, you must have at least one parent who is your legal guardian and is currently residing with you in Australia. You and your legal guardian will need to submit an application for special consideration to request a waiver of the age requirement. The College Administration Team will assess such applications on a case-by-case basis.

  • Have completed a Diploma or Advanced Diploma qualification in related fields of study and 3 years equivalent full-time relevant workplace experience at a significant level of leadership and management responsibility and/or complexity in an enterprise.
    OR
    Have completed a Bachelor degree in related fields of study and 2 years equivalent full-time relevant workplace experience at a significant level of leadership and management responsibility and/or complexity in an enterprise.
    OR
    Have five years equivalent full-time relevant workplace experience at a significant level of leadership and management responsibility and/or complexity in an enterprise.
  • For international students, IELTS overall 6.0 or its equivalent (TOEFL/PTE/Cambridge English are acceptable), OR complete Australian ELICOS course at upper intermediate level, OR complete any AQF Advanced Diploma course (or above) taught in English, OR pass the WSC English placement test at upper intermediate level (at least 60 points out of 100) unless your nationality is the US, UK, New Zealand, Canada or Ireland.

Modes of Training and Assessment

This qualification is delivered in an institution-based environment with face-to-face delivery (20 hours per week). The mode of training is highly practical with a combination of in class learning activity, tutorials and self-paced learning activities. In addition to your face-to-face hours, you will be required to allocate 5 hours per week for structured self-paced activities in your own time.

Wall Street College draws on a range of assessment methods such as knowledge questions, research tasks, role-plays, case studies and observations. Depending on each unit requirements, a combination of methods is used to collect sufficient evidence from you to demonstrate your competency.

You will be required to complete some assessment tasks during your face-to-face hours and in your own time. You will need to allocate approximately 5 hours per week to complete assessment in your own time.
